The Sacramento Groundwater Authority (SGA) is happy to announce the public release of the Public Draft North American Subbasin (NASb or Subbasin) 2026 Amended Groundwater Sustainability Plan (2026 GSP). The 2026 GSP is available for public review beginning Monday, September 21, 2026. Written comments will be accepted through October 21, 2026.
The 2026 GSP was prepared in coordination with the five Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) as part of the Subbasin’s required Periodic Evaluation under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). It reflects the GSAs evaluation of GSP implementation and proposed updates to support continued sustainable groundwater management in the Subbasin.
