The five Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) of the North American Subbasin (NASb or Subbasin) are excited to announce the release of the 2026 Periodic Evaluation of the 2021 Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for public review.

The evaluation was prepared as part of the Subbasin’s required Periodic Evaluation under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). It reflects the GSAs’ evaluation of GSP implementation and the Subbasin’s path to sustainability.
The NASb GSAs are hosting a public commenting meeting for the NASb 2026 Amended GSP. During this event, the GSAs will also provide an overview of the SGMA and explain the purpose and status of the Subbasin’s Periodic Evaluation. If you are interested in attending, please register for the event here.
