Join us as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Sacramento Groundwater Authority (SGA) on
Thursday, September 21, 2023, 8 to 9:30 a.m. (registration begins at 7:45 a.m.)
at the Sutter Club, 1220 9th Street, in Sacramento.
SGA was established in 1998 to manage the Sacramento region’s north area groundwater basin. A product of the Water Forum process, SGA was one of the first groundwater management agencies of its kind in California and became a successful model for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act of 2014.
Confirmed speakers include California Senators Angelique Ashby and Roger Niello participating in an engaging conversation moderated by John McGinness, KFBK radio host (AM 1530 and FM 93.1) and former Sacramento County Sheriff. The trio will discuss the evolution of groundwater management and politics in California and the Sacramento region over the past 25 years.
